One of Uptown Westerville’s favorite annual events—Rock the ‘Ville—is slated this year for August 9. A celebration of all things art and music, Rock the ‘Ville will play host to local musicians, artists, models and performers of all types.
At Amish Originals, we are proud to host Columbus Music Academy for the second year at Rock the ‘Ville; musicians of all styles and ages will settle into our showroom to perform from 3-8pm. You’ll hear strings, guitars, and an outstanding jazz ensemble, so take moment to stop, cool off and listen to some talented musicians! 
Many of the other Uptown merchants will be welcoming performers as well and when you venture out on to State Street and it’s main arteries, you’ll find three official Rock the ‘Ville stages set up throughout the afternoon and evening:
At City Hall—Featuring professional musicians: Grassahol Bluegrass Band, Jon Anthony and Wishful Drinkin’ and The Neighbors Kids
On East College Avenue—Featuring youth, high school and college musicians, including No Dice, Westerville North grads selected to complete for a slot on the Grammy pre-show.
On East Main Street—Featuring dancers from Straub Dance Center and Leap of Faith and “unplugged” musicians. Other activities will include:
- Street Scrabble and visits from the CHA Animal Shelter on East Main Street
- Professional chalk artists will be creating beautiful masterpieces on East College Avenue
- Activities for children at Union Savings Bank (face painting, bubble, sculpture creation using re-purposed materials)
